Eight Mile Style filed a federal lawsuit in Detroit on Monday alleging that a 30-second Facebook ad broadcast online last month copied music from Eminem’s 2000 song “Under the Influence.”

The Detroit Free Press reports that the ad was featured in a webcast by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to announce Facebook Home, an interface for Android phones.

The complaint says Portland, Ore., ad agency Wieden+Kennedy copied Eminem’s music “in an effort to curry favor” with Facebook by catering to Zuckerberg’s personal likes and to “invoke the same irreverent theme” of the song.

Facebook spokesman Andrew Noyes declined comment. A message seeking comment was left Tuesday with the ad agency.

Police spokesman Timothy Fecht says officers arrested Cozart after responding to a call about illegal drug activity at the Le Méridien hotel just north of Atlanta Monday afternoon. Fecht says officers saw smoke and smelled marijuana wafting from a room.

It wasn’t immediately clear what Cozart was doing in Georgia. Representatives at his booking agency said they didn’t have contact info for an attorney for the 17-year-old Chicago native and didn’t know much about the incident.

Cozart was arrested in January and spent about two months in juvenile detention for violating probation on a weapons conviction. He had received probation for pointing a gun at police in 2012.

In March, Sinbad told Oprah that his current financial troubles were a result of bad investments. “I didn’t buy Bentleys. I didn’t live large. I invested in me. I invested in a lot of other people. I would not change it; I would not go back,” he said. “It’s never over. There’s no one defining moment that kills you or makes you.”

Unfortunately, this is not Adkins’ first encounter with money problems. In 2009, he filed for bankruptcy, before appearing on Celebrity Apprentice, but his case was dismissed.

Before they snatched the wording off their Web site, a number of media outlets led by the New York Post reported that a company called “The Real Bronx Tour” promised its patrons, mostly White European and Australian tourists, “a ride through a real New York City ‘GHETTO.” (Yes, folks.  Emphasis on the “ghetto.”)

The excursion included gaping at people standing outside of a food pantry and recoiling in horror from the dangers of St. Mary’s Park.

Um. Yeah.

Just when you thought Mary J. Blige’s financial problems couldn’t get any worse…

According to TMZ, the hip-hop and R&B queen has been hit with a $3.4 Million tax lien due to failure to pay her income taxes for the years 2009, 2010 and 2011.  On top of that, Ms. Blige reportedly owes 900 stacks (900k) in back taxes to the State of New Jersey. Ouch!  To make matters worse, she’s being sued by multiple banks for defaulting on loans ranging from half-million dollars to 2.2 million dollars!

Unfortunately, this news doesn’t come as a huge surprise. Despite being one of the most successful female R&B singers of our time, Mary has been plagued by financial woes for a while now. We over here at JETmag.com are keeping her in our prayers. Uncle Sam and the IRS are nothing to play with!

Behold the movie poster for Idris Elba’s next lead role, Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom.  Elba is obviously going to play Nelson Mandela, while Naomie Harris will play Winnie Mandela. The Justin Chadwick directed film will start with Nelson Mandela’s childhood in South Africa, tracing his steps to his election as the first black president of South Africa in 1994.

The film is set for a Nov. 29 release date in the U.S.

Who do you know can get a professional basketball player to show up at their prom?

Well, one South Florida high school senior made that happen for herself thanks to a Youtube video she made asking Dwyane Wade to be her date. After making her plea to the NBA star, Nicole Muxo, went on about her prom plans, including securing a back-up date, all while having no idea that Wade would even see the video or actually show up. It wasn’t until prom night, she got the surprise of a lifetime when the Miami Heat star himself, showed up suited and booted with flowers in hand, like a true gentlemen. Needless to say, the prom got really ‘turnt up’ then and D.Wade’s people were there to catch it all on camera. Check out the video below to see how Nicole’s epic prom night went down.

No alarm clock rang this morning, yet I jumped up at 4:30am bursting with energy. The same aches and pains but less in some way. My first act of the morning, pop open that fresh bottle of cold water….ahh. I have to keep it in my head that something done for 21 days becomes a habit. So they say. I cross my calendar in purple marker, indicating that I just completed day 6 of my juice fast. Going six days without eating will really bring some insight to your life. “Why?” Most people give that response when I tell them that I’m juicing and withholding solid foods for a long period of time. The next response, “Is that healthy?” I’ve learned to never really challenge people on the way that they eat or the definition of what is “healthy”, especially my circle of family and friends. For me, I needed to change my life. Yes I want to shed 100 lbs off my frame so that I can move like I believe I want to move. For me, it’s more that that.

Rapper Waka Flocka Flame is reportedly planning a non-violence concert to tour schools in Chicago, a city that has made headlines for its recent gang and gun violence, according to BET.com. 

Along with former gangbanger Wallace Gator Bradley and United In Peace, Inc., Waka intends to do a mini-tour of four Chicago high schools, Chicago State University and an elementary school in Riverdale, IL.

“Senseless acts of violence is happening all over the world,” Waka said in a statement. “Chicago is the first, but not the last for me.”

According to Bradley, the event will take place the first week of June though a venue has yet to be disclosed.

A longtime employee at Disney’s Port Orleans and pastor at St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church in Sandford, FL has been accused of watching child pornography at work, according to The Grio. 

Cedric Eugene Cuthbert was arrested after a Disney relations manager claimed he was downloading porn while working as a nighttime custodial manager at the resort. Disney has a monitoring system that screen captures every three seconds of an employee’s computer. According to the arrest papers, Cuthbert was downloading child porn while writing his Easter Sunday sermon.
