T.J. Holmes wants you to stay awake— and watch him. The former CNN anchor has joined the ranks of late-nighters Jon Stewart and David Letterman with BET’s Don’t Sleep! But don’t expect stupid human tricks. “I’m a journalist foremost,” the 35-year-old tells JET.

T.J. HOLMES: I am a perfect blend of my parents. My dad is boisterous, outgoing and social. My mom is the quiet assassin— with a sharp wit.
